CNC Lathe Machinist

We have an opening for a CNC Lathe Machinist based out of our SE Technical Centre for afternoon shift — Monday – Thursday 2:30PM – 01:00AM. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for basic programming, set up and operation of CNC Mazak Lathes.

Responsibilities include:

Generate CNC programs for Mazak Lathes using Mazak Mazatrol Control.
Set-up and operate CNC Mazak Lathe.
Verify and record dimensions of parts and adjust machine accordingly to obtain desired quality of end product.
Perform maintenance requirements on machines and maintain working area and equipment.
Assist with training new employees.
Other machining and QC related tasks as required.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 5 years of experience with CNC Lathe machine set-up. Experience with CNC Mazak Mill / Mazatrol Control, as well as experience in oil and gas industry and API threading, are considered assets.
